2 quarts water
8 oz package of linguine or spagetti
3 cups small broccoli flowerets
1 8-oz container soft-style cream cheese with garlic and herbs
2/3 cup milk
1/4 tsp black pepper
6 oz smoked turkey breat cut into bite size strips
1) Bring water to boiling. Add Linguine or spagetti. Return to boiling. Reduce heat. Cook for 6 minutes. Add broccoli. Return to boiling. Cook until pasta is tender and broccoli is done. Drain
2) In the same pot, combine cream cheese, milk and pepper. Cool and stir over low heat until cream cheese is melted. Add pasta-broccoli mixture and turkey. Toss until coated with cheese mixture. If neccessary, add more milk to get desired consistency. Makes 4 servings.
Changes that I've made: I couldn't find any garlic and herb cream cheese, so I made it with chive and onion. It came out really good. I've also made it with chicken, pork and turkey. It is a good recipe for all three. I also buy frozen broccoli and it works just as good.
